Why Journey With Me?

I’m Kate, and this journey is the culmination of over 20 years immersed in the world of holistic wellness. My path has been shaped by deep study and hands-on experience with cycle awareness, hormonal healing, fertility support, postpartum care, herbalism, and body-based ritual.

I hold a degree in whole-foods based nutrition from Bastyr University in Seattle, WA—an institution known for integrative and evidence-based approaches to healing. After graduating, I became a licensed esthetician to better understand the relationship between skin health and internal nourishment. My journey continued through certifications in sacred sexuality, empowerment coaching, and movement-based wellness.

I’ve worked as a nutritionist at Sophia Health Institute—one of the nation’s leading chronic illness clinics. I also spent time in Aspen, CO, where I worked as a whole-body detox educator, facilitating programs that included lymphatic drainage, colon hydrotherapy, and nutritional support. I’ve co-founded Moon Sister Rising, taught beach yoga, and served as a Goddess to the Core® instructor. Sunshine Kate’s was born in 2008 through leading cooking classes for both adults and children, as well as providing gluten-free goodies for local juice bars, coffee shops, and farmer’s markets. Her flagship wellness center in Wanamassa, NJ came to fruition in 2015. Over the years, Sunshine Kate’s has offered community workshops, seasonal cleanses, private wellness consultations, herbal product creation, and women’s circles—creating a vibrant and inclusive space for healing and connection.

My work is rooted in creativity, embodied ritual, and a lifelong curiosity that has taken me from Morocco to Iceland, Bali to Greece, and across the U.S.—always learning, always connecting.

I’ve guided hundreds of women through sacred transitions—from conception to perimenopause—and I’ve walked every step of this work as a devoted student myself. This isn’t just my profession—it’s my calling.

I believe healing happens in layers, and that we are most supported when we feel safe, seen, and gently guided back to our body’s innate wisdom. This journey weaves together everything I’ve learned, practiced, and cherished across decades of study and service.

Meet The Additional Practitioners

Meet Natasha:

From a young age there were many things that shaped my passion for food and nutrition. I was always introduced to a variety of foods and encouraged to try new things. My love only grew when I began to cook with my parents at the age of 8! We watched a lot of Food Network and Cooking Channel, so I was constantly learning.

Food brought my family together and I wanted to share that with friends too. In high school, I began cooking with friends and throwing small dinner parties. I appreciated food as a tool for community. 

A pivotal moment for my relationship with food was at 16, when I was diagnosed with ADHD. After recognizing that a large part of my symptoms were influenced by the processed, sugary junk I ate everyday, and after feeling terrible on my meds, I swore to clean up my diet and face it as naturally as possible. 

After lots of research and making major changes to my diet (reframing my mindset around nourishment) I was able to come off my meds completely and finish my last 2 years of college with nearly all straight A’s. 

 

That was when I recognized the healing power of food alone. I was amazed. From then on, I made it a personal mission to help others and spread the message of food as medicine. 

Not only does it serve us, but it helps us serve others. One of my favorite things to this day is cooking for - and with! - family and friends. Showing them healthy, nourishing foods don’t have to be bland or expensive. Helping them heal. 

As the years passed, I did a deep dive into nutrition research, focusing on neurological function because of my own personal ADHD journey and grandmother’s passing from Dementia. 

In 2019, I completed an integrated nutrition certification from IIN based in NYC. The most important takeaway for me was recognizing that while brain health is very important, our bodies work as a whole system, each part supporting the next. 

Since graduating the program, I’ve lead Whole30 groups, provided resources & meal plans for specific dietary needs, come up with a few original recipes, and meal prepped for those short on time and inspiration.

Meet Michelle:

Michelle is a practitioner of Chinese Medicine; trained as a Classical Acupuncturist, Earth Stewardess & an Oracle for the sacred wisdom of Nature. Michelle is a weaver of many modalities that anchor our spiritual essence in this earthly experience. Her 10 years of clinical experience has provided her with repeated anecdotal evidence of the abundances of plant essences and our innate capacity for creative expression. 

Her goal is to assist individuals in finding and feeling into the essence of who they are. Michelle believes we all have the tools to settle into and trust our most authentic self.

Michelle has been in clinical practice for 10 years in both community and private acupuncture settings. She has studied essential oils under the guidance of, and extensively with, Tiffany Carole, Peter Holmes, and Jeffrey Yuen. The past few years have found Michelle delving deeply into the art of Chinese Face Reading, studying with the late Lillian Bridges. 

She finds great joy in teaching and facilitating group sessions around essential oils and Chinese Face reading! In 2023, Michelle opened her online apothecary to create and share the medicine of essential oils! Michelle and her brother Craig, own and co-operate their private acupuncture practice in New Jersey.

Michelle is a National Board Certified Acupuncturist, licensed to practice in NJ and NY, and a Diplomate of Acupuncture. Michelle is a practitioner of Chinese Medicine, an Earth Maven & an Oracle for the sacred wisdom of Nature. Michelle is a weaver of many modalities that anchor our spiritual essence in this earthly experience. Her 10 years of clinical experience has provided her with repeated anecdotal evidence of the abundances of plant essences and our innate capacity for creative expression.

Spirit resides in a body that is pleasureable. Our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health is our life’s work. Listening and observing how our bodies speak is a celebration of life and a reflection of our innate wisdom. 

In Chinese Medicine we look at the whole body to observe its changes and decipher its needs. Michelle can help us identify markers on the face that give us clues about our health, and insight into symptoms that are hormonal related. Using essential oils to bring balance into health is a way to address conditions no matter where they are found in the energetic or physical body. 

Learn how to identify and listen to what your body is telling you from a licensed Classical Acupuncturist trained in Chinese Face Reading and Aroma Acu-Point Therapy. 

In our time together, we will look at areas of the face and the symptoms that arise in the pelvis that correlate to hormone and health imbalances, and practice remedies like acupressure and aroma acupoint therapy to tend and nourish the wise woman within!
